What is the Kann Broadcast Talent Coaching Boot Camp?
The Kann Broadcast Talent Coaching Boot Camp is an immersive, three-day, hands-on broadcasting experience held in conjunction with the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. Participants gain real-world experience covering live professional basketball games while receiving personalized coaching from seasoned broadcast professionals.
When and where does the boot camp take place?
The boot camp runs from April 16–18, 2026, in Portsmouth, Virginia, alongside the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.
Who is this boot camp for?
The boot camp is designed for aspiring and emerging broadcast professionals, including on-air talent, reporters, producers, camera operators, and content creators looking to elevate their skills and portfolios.
What will participants do during the boot camp?
Participants will:
- Cover live basketball games courtside
- Conduct interviews with NBA draft prospects
- Craft compelling stories and game coverage
- Receive hands-on coaching and feedback
- Build professional-quality clips for reels and portfolios
- Develop daily content that will appear on the PIT website.
Who are the coaches?
